Innovation Lab
The Innovation Lab is a modern facility within our Digital Scholarship Services, designed to support the GU-Q community in utilizing digital technologies for research, teaching, and learning. The Lab is located on the Library 2nd floor room 2B04 and is equipped with advanced multimedia tools, including high-quality microphones, headphones, audio mixers, and powerful computers with professional-grade software, the lab is ideal for podcasting, digital storytelling, video editing, and more. The space features multiple workstations for collaborative work and presentations.
Media Production Room (LD04 & LD07)
The Media Production Rooms are reservable spaces located in the basement rooms LD04 & LD07. They are equipped with high-quality RØDE microphones, advanced audio mixers, and an intuitive audio interface for clear, customizable recordings. Multiple microphones and headphones facilitate collaboration, while ergonomic furniture and soundproof walls ensure a comfortable, distraction-free environment. These spaces are ideal for recording podcasts and can be reserved using the Media Production Room reservation form.
Computer Lab
The second-floor computer lab is a modern computer lab equipped with Dell workstations and high-quality headsets, designed to support research, teaching, and learning. The lab’s layout promotes an efficient and collaborative environment, with individual workstations that provide privacy while fostering a shared academic space. This setup is ideal for utilizing digital technologies, offering access to advanced software and resources. Whether you are conducting data analysis, digital content creation, or collaborative research, this lab is tailored to meet the diverse needs of the GU-Q community.
Computer Commons
The Library at Georgetown University Qatar features a computer commons equipped with iMac and Dell workstations to support research, teaching, and learning. The lab’s open layout promotes collaboration and efficient use of digital technologies, providing access to advanced software and high-speed internet. This space is ideal for data analysis, digital content creation, and collaborative academic projects, offering the GU-Q community the resources needed to excel in their digital scholarship endeavors. Both GU-Q associated patrons and guests can use the space for their tech needs.
