Digital Communication
The Digital Communication services at GU-Q Library’s Digital Scholarship center are designed to empower students, faculty, and staff in creating compelling and effective digital content for academic, research, and professional purposes. Our services focus on three key areas: Multimedia Storytelling, Design & Presentation, and Research Posters. These services aim to enhance your digital literacy and communication skills, helping you to present your ideas and research in engaging and impactful ways.
Multimedia Storytelling
The Multimedia Storytelling service equips students, faculty, and staff with the tools and skills needed to create dynamic digital narratives. From podcasts for class assignments to interactive e-portfolios for showcasing academic achievements, our team can guide you in selecting the most appropriate multimedia tools and storytelling techniques. We offer support for various platforms including audio production, video creation, and interactive web-based storytelling tools like ArcGIS StoryMaps.
Design & Presentation
The Design & Presentation service supports students, faculty, and staff in creating visually appealing and effective e-portfolios, presentations, infographics, and other visual communication materials. Whether you’re preparing a class presentation, a conference talk, or a professional report, we can help you enhance your visual design skills. Our team offers guidance on using design tools, choosing appropriate visual elements, and applying principles of effective visual communication to make your ideas stand out.
Research Posters
The Research Poster service assists students and faculty in designing and creating impactful academic posters. We provide support throughout the poster creation process, from conceptualization to final production. Our team can guide you in effectively summarizing your research, choosing appropriate layouts, and incorporating visual elements to create posters that effectively communicate your findings at conferences, research days, or other academic events.
